Great Lead!
I just heard a very simple, but profound statement that really resonated with me. The statement is: “A good leader welcomes questions.” Often we get offended by the fact that people may choose to question what we do. But, when you think about it, questions speak volumes about the person asking the question and even more volume about the absence of clarity. It is important to get the right perspective about being questioned.
Questions will allow for the opportunity of conversation and creativity, which leads to great productivity. The leader who demands loyalty in the place of questions, is really a poor leader that will be ineffective and unproductive. What kind of leader are you? Even more important, what kind of leader do you desire to be?
David led with conviction and boldness. He did not necessarily seek to be a leader. He just showed up and stepped up when God required him to. His anointing prepared him to know just what to do when it was required of him. He welcomed the questions from his brothers and Saul and anyone who dared to present their need for clarity. He had the precise answer for the precise question. He knew who he was. He knew what he had to do.
When God presents the assignment, He always equips us with the ability to complete the assignment. So, lead with confidence and boldness. Welcome the questions that can propel you to your greatest productivity. You were created for this. You were built for this. Lead Well!!
