Be the Exception!

Be the exception. In a world filled with conventions, mediocrity, and standard pathways, the true leaders and innovators break away from the mold. They pursue their visions with determination, refusing to conform to expectations.

We often hear people complain about injustice and the grave problems that occur in our society today. I am sometimes caught up in the hype at times. But, what I am even more in awe of, is the fact that the people who complain, when placed in the same position of power, end up practicing the same injustices and sometimes their behavior can be even more appalling. All I can say is, “WHY? WHY?”.

The Bible says that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. It did not say that we should do unto others what was done to us. It specifically says that we should do to others what we would like done to us. To be the change, you must be the exception, most of the time. You cannot change bad behavior, with bad behavior. Look at Jesus. He had the power to wipe out the entire universe and rebuild it again, to His specifics. But, that was not the plan. In order to fight the hate and the sin, He had to be the exception. Jesus had to take on the sin of the world, in order to rid the world of sin and redeem man back to God. He was hated and crucified. But, He could not retaliate with hate. He had to use love, to make the change.

When challenges arise, the exceptionalist sees opportunities. They cultivate resilience and embrace change, leveraging adversity as a stepping stone to success. The exceptionalist doesn’t just adapt; they redefine the rules, crafting unique solutions that inspire others and foster progress.

This mindset transcends individual achievement. It creates a ripple effect, encouraging teams and organizations to push boundaries and rethink possibilities. By embodying this spirit, you affirm your commitment to excellence and instill a culture of empowerment in your professional environment.

In every endeavor, aim to be the exception, just like Jesus. Whether presenting a new idea, approaching a problem, or guiding your team, let your distinctive perspective shine through. Remember, mediocrity is easy; being exceptional requires courage and conviction. Choose to stand out and lead with purpose. It does not matter if you are hated for your good. Jesus was hated. But, He chose to overcome evil with Good. Be the Change!!! Be the exception!!!!
